Getting started

How do I start?
  1. PATAK opens on the Sample Project. Look around: it is read-only, so nothing can break.
  2. When you are ready, tap the folder icon (top bar) → New Project. Give it your venue's name.
  3. In Stock → Masterlist, add the ingredients you buy, with pack size and price. You can also import an Excel list with the columns Item, Size, Unit and Price.
  4. In Build, make your drinks. Cost, pour cost and margin update as you go.
Can I change the currency or ml / oz?

Yes. Go to Settings to choose the currency (37 are available) and the measurement (ml, cl, US oz or UK oz). Each project keeps its own currency.

Your data

Where are my projects saved?

On your device only. PATAK has no account and no cloud yet, so your projects do not move between devices by themselves.

How do I back up, or move projects to another phone, tablet or computer?
  1. Open Export & Handover and tap Export Everything.
  2. Save the file to Files, Google Drive or email, or send it to yourself.
  3. On the other device, open Export & Handover → Import a File and choose that file.

Importing adds projects and never overwrites. Drink photos travel inside the file. Attached documents (such as CVs and training files) stay on the device that has them.

What happens if I delete the app?

Deleting the app also deletes its projects. Export Everything first, then import the file after reinstalling.

Printing and files

How do I print or make a PDF from the app?

Tap the printer icon, then Print / Save PDF. Your device's share sheet opens with the printout. Choose Print, or save it and open it in your browser to print or save as PDF.

Word file makes a document you can edit in Word or Google Docs.

How do batch reminders work?

On a batch event with a date, tap Add to calendar. Your calendar app then reminds you before prep day and the event, even with PATAK closed.
